
Chelsea’s urban stages theater
My design class was asked to individually develop a new brand identity for Urban Stages Theater, located in the heart of Chelsea, New York. This project included creating promotional materials for their 2014 season, which featured the somber and complex plays Dead Girl, Nightingale & Chase, and Shatter.
To reflect the intense themes of these productions, I opted for a dark color palette. The posters were created through a combination of collaged background images and ink drawings for the figures, blending traditional techniques with digital elements. My final design was a mixed-media piece, incorporating collage materials, india ink, and Photoshop. For the logo, I included my own fingerprints, symbolizing the lasting impact that theater can have on its audience.
